ISB Systems Performance Under AS 5113 Testing

ISB Systems - AS 5113 Testing

ISB Systems' products have been exposed to the severe fire load of AS 5113 testing on facades constructed of common combustible cladding materials on typical stud walls.

ISB Slimline was installed on a typical stud wall with the Polyethylene (PE) core Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) cladding.  ISB Slimline is an automatic horizontal fire curtain that is concealed within the external wall and deploys in the event of a fire. Acting as both a cavity barrier and a horizontal fire barrier it not only deflects the fire away from the fuel source but also reduces the temperature impact on the wall by around 50%

Within a typical AS 5113 test, the fire from the crib latches onto the wall.  The temperatures received at level 1 are typically in the order of 700 - 800C.

The thermocouples during the ISB Barricade AS 5113 test indicate the temperatures on the wall are less than 400C. This is in the order of a 400C temperature reduction from the typical AS 5113 baseline.
